What is the feeling of returning to Runescape after ten years?

When I first played Runescape, my time was too long, it was a sneak puberty. It's the only game I can access in size and size - all of which are dial-up and browser windows. As an extra bonus, this means I can play it at home and at school. Ten years later, despite catastrophic changes and improvements, in a world of free MMOs, the unique fully accessible brand is still strong, and you don't have to wait for your parents to log in.

Connect: Speaking of free MMOs, here are a few check to see if your Steam wallet is empty. I recently tried to log in to a very old email account, which I can only do by searching for an older Runescape login. Usernames can bring a lot of memories, especially memories like g0ds1ayer94. This legend reminds me of what kind of 'Runie? With nostalgia, I created a new account and started exploring Gielinor's dream world again.

In the decade I left, Runescape has transformed from a fantasy-themed chat room into a full-fledged MMO, completing its annual festival, a card game spin-off and enough content for the 12-year-old to be knee. If you can think of it, you need to actually download the latest version of the game.

This is a game that maintains its many players through constant updates and unparalleled audience interaction; recording a month, you may have missed something that the community will refer to in the coming years.

These are just the biggest changes: Runescape received about 650 other feature updates at that time, not to mention the numerous patches and fixes that have been deployed. Jagex's simple facts of eradicating the wilderness for 30 years still feel like an insult to some of the past's self - even if I don't play at the moment.

Lumbridge is still there, one of the mischievous devils still lingers on the land of the castle, roaring in front of a group of players with the same immortal question: "Will you be my friend?" Ten years did nothing to appease the monster.

Despite all the upgrades, it is seamless to go back to the same old grinding tool system and sprint to the nearest bank to market them.

My main knowledge of Runescape in 2006 was: grinding for a few hours, buying some shiny new equipment and Runescape gold , when implementing my combat level, the keyboard is not enough to equip it, grinding combat, equipment, being in the wilderness Kill, shed shiny new equipment, copy. Every few months I decide to start a new account, inspired by the construction of some of the experts I have seen, or the inexplicable desire to live a simple life and become a legendary hermit. Frankly, 12-year-old I believe this will be a pleasant thing.

Logging in Runescape is like going home, discovering that your parents have become new dogs without telling you, and they absolutely refuse to say exactly what happened to your beloved Brassica Prime. You may be angry at first, and it will take a long time for your puppy to pass, but you will soon discover that this pet is amazing compared to its predecessors. It has a variety of new techniques, it has charm and character, a lot of endgame content, no need to feed or walk often.

Runescape used to give up an hour or a few days of grinding to get piecemeal progress. Today, if you can remember the 20-hour continuous attack just to get half of the XP that needs to be upgraded.

Runescape's tone is very happy, and the degree of skipping is lower, you can freely embrace and explore it without having to submit it to the factory. This is great because Runescape's mission never really requires you to take advantage of skills other than combat, and often includes puzzles or interactive elements that have more in common with the old school click-based adventure game than the dream mission.

The once vacant area is now full of NPCs, missions and stories. Every inch of the world is full or, in some cases, expanded to fit all the characters, enemies and features that Jagex has been busy filling the game for the past decade. The fact that Runescape is an internet game is currently a bonus, not its main attraction. Jagex can completely offline their games, it may still be worth playing
