​Which is the bigger detriment to the Madden series

Which one is more detrimental for the Madden series? EA or the NFL?

Each each year EA is known to launch an update of Madden which is a bit less basic than the previous. From the level of other EA games and and specifically those that are sports, they can say that this is how they function as a business.

Make sure to invest as little as you can each year, and earn money from your annual micro transactions and purchases.

But, it's clear that the blame is on the NFL. Given that the entire game relies on the image of their brand and their players as well, they certainly (should) should have a say in the overall quality that the sport plays.

However, they're well-equipped to perform the most work for the highest amount of money. This is what they do for their bread and butter. NFL owners.

This is why I am asking which organization or company do you think is more detrimental to the sport? If, for instance, the NFL offered the rights to a different company would you say that they could enhance the game significantly?

Or do you think the NFL always strive for their product to be as basic bones as they can with a particular focus on microtransactions?
